Yes. But try some of the Korean alcoholic beverages instead. Several different varieties. Fun.
Lunch portions and dinner portions
There are a bunch of options that dont immediately seem like they have gluten but almost all of their meat is marinated or tossed in a soy based sauce. If soysauce bothers you, sadly it may not be a good option but do give them a call to check because their food is amazing and i would hate for you to miss out!!
Yes. We are open on Black Friday. Thank you for asking!
This Korean spot had me hesitant but I definitely found a diamond of authentic Korean food. Fresh made to order and delish. Totally recommend.
The chicken wing were incredible. We were there for a late lunch so we caught shift change.
Mediocre bibimbap and atrocious wait times for the food to be prepared. The appetizers and food for three out of eight people came out on time, but for the other five, it took over an hour and a half for their fried chicken and bibimbap order. The place was barely filled, maybe four other tables were occupied. If they had a staff shortage they could have let us know earlier and given an honest estimation of how long it would take. There are better Korean restaurants in the area. Avoid.
Got a ton of their chicken to go and it was very good. Very saucy with lots of flavor. Restaurant was not crowded when we were there but seemed nice. If I had been eating there, the large/loud television playing K-pop songs would have been distracting. Staff was very kind and helpful.
The lady who owns this place is the hardest working lady in the fried chicken business. Trust me when I say that you would fight your grandmother for the last piece of chicken. This fried chicken is from another planet. The waitstaff is young so they are still learning but they are sweet young ladies that do a good job.
Loved it. Great food and service. Fried chicken was very good!
Unbelievably tasty fried chicken. I've never tasted anything before like their original sauce. You have to try it one time, and you'll be hooked 👌👌
Beef bulgogi and the chicken wings were delicious. The wings were super crunchy. I was disappointed to see that the only chicken they had was fried or spicy. But besides that, the food was good, as was the service.
Food was good and the service was great. I had the Korean wings with a side of kimchi and rice. Unfortunately I can only compare this experience with other Korean restaurants I've been with that go above and beyond with atmosphere, food presentation, and free add-ons like small plates, hot tea.
BEST CHICKEN IN RALEIGH! I went here for lunch with some people from work- their fried chicken is AMAZE-BALLS! They have sauces ranging from mild to melt your face off. I fell in love after 1 bite- it's hard to find chicken this good in Raleigh. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and fast. Highly recommend!
Talk about a hidden gem! This place was highly recommended on a Reddit thread on r/raleigh about the best Korean food in the area. Located in a nondescript strip mall, it is easy to miss Soo Cafe. We got Chicken Bibimbap, Beef Bulgogi, and Soy Garlic Wings. The sauce on the wings is on par with Bonchon, and our meals were just packed with flavor and fresh ingredients!
Excellent food at a great price and very fast lunch service. The Bibimbab is served in a sizzling hot skillet with hot-sauce on the side so you can make it as spicy as you want.Funky atmosphere, but very clean and well organized. Highly recommend!
Very lovely interior. Service was sub-par; the waiter topped off our drinks once & did not offer after that, and less than two minutes after dropping off our checks he made sure to "let us know" we pay at the register up front & came back around a second time to tell us again. I want to note, 1/3 of our party was still eating when the checks were dropped off so it was not as if we were loitering around at the table. Beyond the slight rudeness of the waiter, the food was delicious & look nice as well. Would enjoy eating here again but hopefully with a different staff member serving us.
Yummy stop off Capital just outside of the Beltline. Awesome spicy fried chicken and bulgogi! Been here twice, and we'll be back!
Worst customer service anyone can imagine. A take away order that was supposed to be ready, overcharged, 50% extra, cause the website prices are not updated, and still not ready after waiting four 20 minutes. I will never set foot in it again.
We had an amazing experience at Soo Cafe. The Korean fried chicken is a must-try, but make sure you get a side of kimchi and pickled radishes. Great portions, good for groups and families.
As always the good was delicious, but a bit short staffed at lunch today. The staff that was there was awesome in making sure good came out quickly.
Love this place for lunch or dinner. They have great service and awesome food!!
Crispiest, juiciest fried chicken in the triangle, you cant go wrong here.
Chicken is crispy and sauce selection is good. I've only been there for lunch and they are not usually real busy. Service is good. Restaurant inside is nice and clean. The menu is limited compared to other Korean BBQ places I've been before. Recommended !!!!
I have been several times and always get the same thing, the chicken wings flavored with the Soga sauce or the original which is spicier. Atmosphere is comfortable and the K Pop playing on the TV soon fades into the background. Usually only one or two servers but service was quick enough. The last time I went I had a first time diner with me who couldn't decide on a flavor. The server brought samples for him to try. The chicken has always been hot and crunchy and well flavored.
Really nice place. Prices are reasonable. It's always been clean and service has always been great. The food is delicious as well.
Best fried chicken in town, by far.
The fried chicken is great. Old Fashioned sauce is not too hot and has lots of flavor.
This is our favorite place for Korean fried chicken in Raleigh! The soopreme with old fashioned is the easy to go! And there's a second location opening soon in Cary on High House Rd!
Soooooo Delicious! A must try of the Korean wings with Soga sauce
One of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The food is always delicious and fresh. You can tell they know their way around traditional Korean fare. The sauces for the chicken are all fairly spicy but so, so yummy! I crave their food constantly. It’s almost never busy, service is great. It really is a hidden gem!
I’m not huge on Korean but this place was delicious and very welcoming. My only drawback was the amount of options. It was a pretty short menu but everything they made was spot on. They even brought out a few free samples we didn’t ask for and I wouldn’t normally like but ended up loving them. The only hot tea they have is green tea, which was good but powdered, not bagged like I was expecting. They had a large TV playing KPOP music videos which was entertaining for me. It looked like they had a separate room for Karaoke but I didn’t venture. The service is fast and very friendly.
Delicious Korean fried chicken! Old fashioned sauce is the best and it is always hot and fresh! Staff very friendly and helpful! Atmosphere is nice!
Was basically empty for lunch, so definitely a good place to go with a large party during the day. The Wings and Tenders combo was delicious, definitely recommend getting it "soopreme" with the Old Fashioned sauce. Sweet and spicy, but not too spicy. Great service as well. Will be sure to go back!
By far the best fried chicken place around. Some people shy away from it because of the area, but it’s too good to pass up on. It’s a must try!
Great Experience. They were very welcoming from the moment we entered the establishment. Very nice and clean atmosphere. She was very helpful to tell us about the food and the options. Very quick and responsive service. There is a big TV with some Korean music videos were playing but not so loud to disturb your food experience. Another TV with some news channel. Overall, atmosphere was very calming and casually comfortable. Nicely decorated. Just a heads up. There are twin sister working and they are on top of their game. Both were great and friendly. In terms of food, Chicken wings were made once we ordered. Meaning fresh hot food. I liked their spicy beef. When it says spicy, that means it is spicy. By all means, we will visit this place again and recommend.
I had lunch here for the first time. I ordered the 5 tenders with Soga sauce just to try it out. The chicken was cooked so perfectly crisp and juicy. The sauce was the a little sweet, a little spicy, but delicious. I will definitely come back and try something else.
Go for the fried chicken and then back for the karaoke! The fried chicken in this place is the stuff of legend. Sure, it takes about 15 minutes, but perfection is worth it. Don't get it twisted - it isn't Grandma's fried chicken. This is more of a twice-fried culinary delight. The crunch is perfect, and the sauces are spot on. There are other things on the menu, such as bibimbap, gyoza, etc, and those are yummy, but the chicken tho...
Our favorite place to eat chicken wings!! The most amazing fried chicken I have ever put in my mouth. Definitely get the wings or the tenders.... The "whole" chicken pieces are chopped up so you never know where the bones are. Despite that one complaint, this is an awesome place with excellent service.
If you haven't been here, go in, get 5 tenders Soga, and just try it out. Delicious chicken. This is a Korean place, they've got the staples, and they're great as well. The atmosphere is casual, the staff is real nice, and the food is just tasty.
Find your chicks. I stick with original one. #blast
This was one of if not the best chicken lunch I have had. The Seaweed Salad was seasoned just right and in just the right portion. The chicken was perfect and that is not a word I use lightly. The glaze on the chicken had just the right amount of sweet to heat ratio. Couldn't have asked for better service as well. I can't recommend this place enough. Go in settle back and enjoy the atmosphere, with dim lighting, the Korean pop music, and service like no other. A true hidden gem.
Famous for their KFC...Korean Fried Chicken. Try it!! It was great.
